  1. Evgeny Baratynsky (1800-1844) - poet and translator.

  5. For frequent pranks, the leadership of the Corps of Pages - the most prestigious educational institution in Russia, decided to exclude Yevgeny Baratynsky from the corps.

  10. Curiously, at the age of 20, Baratynsky composed a poem about himself, in which he wrote that he would die in a foreign land.
  11. Evgeny Baratynsky died in Naples on July 11, 1844. Only in August his body was transported to St. Petersburg and buried at the Novo-Lazarevskoye cemetery.
  12. For a long time, due to his oppositional ideas, the poet was out of favor with the current emperor.
