Nikolai Rastorguev was born on February 21, 1957 in the city of Lytkarino (Moscow region). He grew up and was brought up in a simple family that has nothing to do with music.
His father, Vyacheslav Nikolaevich, worked as a driver, and his mother, Maria Alexandrovna, was a dressmaker.
Childhood and youth

In 2007, the musician was diagnosed with progressive renal failure, requiring regular hemodialysis. A couple of years later, he underwent a kidney transplant. In 2015, Nikolai continued his treatment in Israel.
