In the eastern part of Moscow, on a picturesque hill, the Izmailovsky Kremlin rises - an interesting historical and entertainment complex that catches the eye with its unusual appearance. Its architecture often causes controversy among Muscovites, however, it cannot but arouse interest, introducing the history of Russia and regularly holding exhibitions, festivals and fairs.
Construction of the Izmailovo Kremlin
The history of the Izmailovo Kremlin is only two decades old. A.F. Ushakov submitted drawings and construction plans in 1998 and after a short period of time they were approved. Then here in Moscow there was just a vacant lot, and it was decided to start construction.
The complex was conceived not only as a place for entertainment, but also for cultural and spiritual recreation, acquaintance with the history of the country. The construction lasted ten years and ended in 2007. Although the Izmailovo Kremlin is not an ancient building and historical monument, it managed to completely recreate and convey to every visitor the real atmosphere of Tsarist Russia.
It is surrounded by towers and defensive structures, as well as, as befits the Kremlin, wooden and stone fences. The white stone towers have inserts of various colors. All patterns and ornaments are recreated according to the historical canons. In 2017, the building continues to be popular with residents and guests of the capital.
Description of the structure
You can enter the original complex through a bridge, followed by a gate guarded by massive towers. The temple of St. Nicholas with a height of forty-six meters appears before your eyes. The temple was built entirely of wood. It is a working church that hosts parishioners and has organized a Sunday school for children.
Near the temple is the Palace of the Russian meal, which takes us to the seventeenth century. He copies the chambers of the Kolomna Palace and seems to be a fantasy in the style of S. Ushakov's creative activity. Inside there are taverns and refectories serving dishes of national and foreign cuisines. The state rooms are ideal for weddings, anniversaries and birthdays. Khokhloma and Palekh elements adorn the interior decoration.
The Tsar's Hall can accommodate up to five hundred people; its authentic look makes the hall one of the best venues for special events in the capital. White marble floors and stairs, wrought iron railings and graceful columns add aristocracy to the room. It is worth going here if only for the sake of a spectacular photo.
Boyarsky Hall is a richly decorated unusual room built in the traditional Russian style. Capacity - 150 people, suitable for banquets, buffets. A photo session in this room will become truly special and unique.
The Gallery Hall can accommodate up to 180 guests. Its interior was created by artists in the style of the famous fairy tale "Twelve Months". There is a stage, so performances and competitions are often held in the hall.
We recommend that you look at the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin.
There is even a Wedding Palace on the territory of the Izmailovsky Kremlin, which is in great demand. Indeed, who does not dream of playing a royal wedding in the 21st century?
