If you love Russia and its history is dear to you, then this post is for you. Here you will see a unique snapshot of one of the oldest in the Russian army, the Life Guards Kexholm regiment, and in a short video you can immerse yourself in the pre-revolutionary history of Russia.
From the memoirs of Boris Mezhenny:
“This photo was taken on the occasion of the retirement of the regiment commander. It took a long time to prepare for the photograph, the grandfather even lit a cigarette while standing in the woods. And when the command sounded, he held the cigarette in his fist, and did not have time to release the smoke. Here he stands with puffy cheeks. "
A photographic plate measuring 65x110 cm, in which there are more than 1000 people, was found in the attic of a house, somewhere in the Tver region. Now this unique photograph has become a real monument to pre-revolutionary Russia.
A photo depicting 1,000 Russian soldiers in one photograph is dated 1903.
Below you will see a video called “Regiment! Attention! " (Grand Prix of the Festival), which is a 20-minute panorama from a photograph. Behind the scenes, you will hear fragments of letters and memoirs of officers of the pre-revolutionary tsarist army.
Just think that every face has its own unique life, its own troubles and joys, fears and hopes.
