Biography of Nikolai Dobronravov

Nikolai Dobronravov was born on November 22, 1928 in Leningrad. He grew up and was brought up in an intelligent family of Nikolai Filippovich and Nadezhda Iosifovna Dobronravov.

Childhood and youth

As a child, the future poet had a very close relationship with his paternal grandmother. Together with her, he went to the theater, the opera and attended many other cultural events.

Dobronravov really enjoyed reading books. An interesting fact is that when he was barely 10 years old he was able to memorize the famous comedy Griboyedov "Woe from Wit".

At the height of the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945), the Dobronravov family settled in the village of Malakhovka, located not far from Moscow. Here he graduated with honors from school, after which he thought about choosing a profession.

As a result, Nikolai entered the Moscow Art Theater School, which he graduated at the age of 22. After that, he continued his education at the Moscow City Teachers' Institute. Having become a certified artist, he got a job at the capital's Youth Theater, where he began to write his first poems.

Creation

At the theater, Nikolai Dobronravov met Sergei Grebennikov, who in the future will also become a professional songwriter. Together they managed to create many lyrics for songs that received all-Union fame.

During these years, the biographies of Dobronravov, in collaboration with Grebennikov, wrote several children's plays, some of which were successfully staged on stage. Later, Nikolai decided to try himself as a film actor.

The audience saw Dobronravov in 2 films - "Sports Honor" and "The Return of Vasily Bortnikov". However, he still showed the greatest interest not in drama and cinema, but in poetry. The guy often performed on Soviet radio stations, reading poetry and children's plays.

Once Nikolai Dobronravov was instructed to write the words to the cheerful song "Motor Boat", the composer of which was still little-known Alexandra Pakhmutova. Working successfully together, the young people realized that they were in love with each other.

As a result, this led to the wedding of Nikolai and Alexandra after 3 months and, as a result, to a fruitful creative duet. After that, Dobronravov decided to quit the theater and concentrate entirely on poetry.

Every year the spouses presented more and more new compositions in which the author of the music was Pakhmutova, and the words - Dobronravov. Thanks to the efforts of a talented couple, such cult songs as "Tenderness", "And the battle continues again", "Belovezhskaya Pushcha", "The main thing, guys, do not get old at heart", "A coward does not play hockey", "Nadezhda" and many other hits.

The compositions of Pakhmutova and Dobronravov can be heard in many Soviet films. The most popular pop artists, including Anna German, Iosif Kobzon, Lev Leshchenko, Edita Piekha, Sofia Rotaru, etc., sought to collaborate with them.

In 1978 Nikolai Dobronravov was awarded the Lenin Komsomol Prize for creating a cycle of Komsomol compositions. A couple of years later, he and his wife wrote the cult anthem song "Goodbye, Moscow, goodbye" for the 1980 Olympics, which ended the sports competition.

In 1982, another significant event took place in the biography of the Dobronravs. He was awarded the USSR State Prize for his contribution to the creation of the film "About sport, you are the world!", In which he acted as a screenwriter and author of soundtracks.

However, Nikolai Nikolaevich collaborated not only with his wife, but also with many other composers, including Mikael Tariverdiev, Arno Babadzhanyan, Sigismund Katz and others.

During his life, the poet composed many war songs, which covered the themes of heroism, hunger, friendship and a common victory over the enemy. In the post-war period, he wrote about astronautics and sports, and also praised various professions. In the 90s, religious themes began to be traced in his work.

Over the years of his creative biography, Nikolai Dobronravov became the author of over 500 songs. Many phrases from his compositions quickly scattered into quotes: "Do you know what kind of guy he was?", "We cannot live without each other," "The bird of happiness of tomorrow," etc.

Personal life

The only woman Dobronravov was and remains Alexandra Pakhmutova, whom he met in his youth. Young people got married in 1956, having lived together for over 60 years! Over the years of their life together, the couple did not have children.
